Baby sparrows

Sparrows make a nest every year under a the overhang of our roof.

I mounted a flip camera to the end of a long pole and hoisted it up right in front of the nest. Here is the resulting video that was captured.

The nestlings seem to respond to either sound or movement near their nest, which triggers their instinctual begging behaviour.

One year, one of our local squirrels raided this nest and ate one of the babies right in front of us on the front porch!
